*** Check back for details of our next clinic, scheduled for September 2007.
30 March 2007 Robin is now happily back full time. The farm is busy getting ready for another busy show season. We have delayed our clinic with Belinda Trussell due to her busy competitive schedule. We look forward to having her back in July.
Jon is currenlty accepting new clients for the upcoming show season including both draft horses and sport horses for farrier work. Jon can be reached at (613) 880-3563.
8 February 2007 Robin had a second neurosurgery to continue the repair of her spine. This surgery was highly sucessful. Robin was instantly feeling much less pain and was able to return home to recover.
The prognosis for her recovery is fantastic and we are all looking forward to her full time return to the farm on February 21st.
Robin would again like to thank all of her clients, who have remained extremely loyal and supportive throughout this difficult ordeal. She is really looking forward to seeing them all again soon. She would also like to thank Jon for his care of the farm and all the horses during her illness. Robin and her family again extend their heart filled thanks and appreciation to the Civic Hospital and Dr. D'Silva for the excellent care.
In addition, Robin would like to personally extend her thanks:
- To Emma Hamilton and Belinda Trussell...Your support has been instrumental in my recovery.
- To Dawn...You're the best nurse. Thanks for the comfort.
- To Michelle Fitzpatrick...You made some of my lonely days much brighter.
- To my parents...You are always able to boost me up.
- To Jon from all of us at Stone Meadows...You have had to carry the brunt of the work and you never complain. You have made a difficult time seem effortless and you alone have made things continue to run smoothly...Thanks.
24 January 2007 Robin and Jon would like to thank all of Stone Meadows' clients, suppliers and friends for their understanding and kindness over the last few difficult months. In early December, Robin was diagnosed with a large disc extrusion and would require neurosurgery to repair her spinal cord. This has resulted in alot of time off for Robin and the need for Jon to take over all of the daily operations on his own. We cannot thank our families enough for their tireless support.
We would also like to thank all our clientele for their continued support throughtout Robin's illness. We are all looking forward to a strong recovery over the spring.
Extended thanks to Dr. D'Silva of the Ottawa Civic Spinal Team, the Emergency staff of both the Ottawa General Hospital and the Civic Hospital, Brian Christie and Kim Elfier of the Ottawa Sports and Health Centre, and the Nurses of the Neuro Science floor at the Civic Hospital.
22 January 2007 We would like to welcome a new staff member to the Stone Meadows team:
 |
Robin has hired Christina Conway to be her groom and assistant to her show horses. Christina has been a student of Robin's since July 2006 and has shown both great riding talent and a hard working personality.
Currently, Christina is aiding in maintaining Robin's show horses while Robin recovers from her recent surgery. Christina will travel with Robin and her team to national and international clinics as well as throughout the show circuit for this coming year. Robin is excited to have Christina due to her great nature and her care and concern for all horses.
